Creating a Secure Future
"We never really think about bees," says Peter Ray '09. "If we do, we see them as a nuisance or a threat." But Pete knows they're more important than that—after all, he paid his way through college by harvesting honey.
When he and his wife, Jenna Reiser Ray '10, met their son for the first time, they wanted to make sure his future was secure. So, they made a gift to support pollinators, the prairie and their alma mater.
The Rays' estate gift to the Max F. Ray Fund for Pollinator Research and Preservation will ensure the future of the region and of the university their son, Max '38, will someday call home.
Like the Rays, you too can make an impact on the causes and institutions you are passionate about. For help finding the right gift for you, contact Susan Schmidgall, CDO, at 320-589-6160 or sschmidg@morris.umn.edu.
